Robert Boyd

Robert C. Boyd was born about 1818 in Wayne County, Ohio, to John Boyd Jr. and Ann Baine. His birthdate is calculated from his grave marker which gives his age as 45 at death in 1862. He married Ann Johnston sometime before 1850 because they are both listed as married in the 1850 census for Franklin Township, Wayne County, Ohio.
Anne Johnston
Anne Johnston was born about 1822 in Germantown, Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. Her birthdate is calculated from her grave marker which
gives her age as 43 at death in 1865.
Robert and Ann both died young. They left 4 young children: 12, 9, 6 and
under a year when Robert died and 15, 12. 9 and 3 when Anne died. In
1870, they were living with Jane Johnson. She was possible a relative of
Anne's. By 1880, Mary is married and Henrietta and Frank are living with
Clint and his wife.
The children of Robert and Anne Johnston Boyd:
1. Henrietta Boyd was born 27 Oct 1850 in Moorland, Wayne County,
Ohio. She died 9 Jan 1916 in Baxter Springs, Kansas. She married George
Dallas Kelsey on 6 Feb 1883 in Perryville, Ashland County, Ohio.
2. Mary J. "Molly" Boyd, my
great-grandmother, was born on Saturday, 28 May 1853, in Ashland County, Ohio,
and died on Tuesday, 16 Dec 1890, in Lincoln, Lancaster, Nebraska. She
died of Typhoid Fever. She married
Edmond/Edward Castor on 12 Feb 1873 in Ashland County, Ohio.
3. Samuel Clinton Boyd, known as Clint, was born April 1856 in Savannah,
Ashland County, Ohio, and died 30 Jul 1928 in Ashland County, Ohio. He
married Margaret Wallace on 30 Jan 1879 in Ashland County, Ohio. She was
the daughter of Levi and Sarah McKinley Wallace. She was born Oct 1855
and died after 1930.
4. Frank C. Boyd was born 2 June 1862 in Green Township, Ashland County,
Ohio and died 28 Sep 1892 in Kansas. He never married.
