Noah Castor

Noah Castor( also known as CUSTARD) was born in 1764 in Augusta County. Virginia, and died n Ashland County, Ohio, on 23 July 1829.   He was buried at Old Presbyterian Cemetery, Perrysville, Ashland County, Ohio. He married Rebecca MATHENY about 1785 in Monongalia County, Virginia. 

Noah and his sons were the first of this line of Castors to reside inbook and 			candle Ashland County.  He and his family left Pennsylvania in 1817 and settled in Green Township, Richland County, Ohio.  This land later became part of Ashland County, Ohio.   

Noah fought in the War for Independence. The DAR has marked his grave as a soldier of the American Revolutionary War

Rebecca Matheny

was born on 12 Feb 1767, in Pennsylvania.   She died on 22 Aug 1848, in Wayne, Hamilton County, Indiana. She was buried at the Prairie Baptist Church Cemetery, Wayne, Hamilton County, Indiana.

Noah CASTOR and Rebecca MATHENY had nine children.  Their son, Conrad Castor, became my 3rd great-grandfather.
